2019-20 Premier League
Round 11, 2-3 November 2019
Various venues
The late kick-off in the
Premier League on Saturday 2 November 2019 features a struggling Watford hosting Frank Lampard’s exciting Chelsea at Vicarage Road from 19:30. The match is one of 10 across England’s top flight this coming weekend.
Watford remain winless – and rooted to the bottom of the Premier League log – after they could only draw 0-0 at home to Bournemouth this past weekend.
“I am confident but realistic too. I know that we are working really hard and I know how the players are training every single week and how confident they are in the tactics and the systems,” said manager Quique Sanchez Flores.
“I know they deserve to win in this period but football is really capricious sometimes so you need to wait. At the moment we are creating something that is solid for the future.”

Chelsea claimed a seventh straight win across all competitions when they crushed Burnley 4-2 away from home, courtesy of a hat-trick from young American attacker Christian Pulisic.
"Of course there is a sense of relief," the 21-year-old explained. "You could see that in my emotions after the first goal, that relief of getting my first goal and being able to help my team at this level. It's really good for me.”
In head-to-head stats, Watford and Chelsea have met in 23 previous matches. The Blues have claimed 13 wins compared to six for the Hornets, while four games have been drawn.
The teams’ Premier League meetings last season saw Chelsea complete a league double: the Blues won 2-1 at Vicarage Road in December 2018 and 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in May 2019. Four of those five goals for Chelsea were scored by players no longer at the club: David Luiz, Gonzalo Higuain (one each) and Eden Hazard (two).
