2024-25 Spanish La Liga
Matchday 30
Real Madrid v Valencia

Estadio Santiago Bernabeu
Madrid, Spain
Saturday, 5 April 2025
Kick-off is at 16h15

Real Madrid will be looking to keep their La Liga title hopes alive when they welcome improving Valencia to the Bernabeu on Saturday, April 5.

Los Blancos have recovered from their blip in February, which saw them pick up just five points out of a possible 12, winning their last three games to stay within touching distance of Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti's side beat Leganes 3-2 on March 29 to pull six points clear of Atletico Madrid in second place, although they trail the Blaugrana by three after seeing the league leaders win twice in the space of three days, having also played their catch-up game during the week.

Barca, who were level with their arch-rivals on 60 points after matchday 29, saw off Osasuna 3-0 on March 27 before running out 4-1 victors over Girona three days later to go clear at the summit.

Los Che continued their turnaround in fortunes with a 1-0 success against Real Mallorca on March 30 which lifted them up to 15th position, four points above the relegation zone.

Carlos Corberan's side endured a poor first half to the season, winning just two of their opening 17 matches, but they've enjoyed a resurgence in the new year, losing only three times.

Valencia have collected 19 points from their last 12 outings and they climbed out of the bottom three on March 8 for the first time since matchday 7.

Ancelotti is refusing to write off Atletico in the title race, claiming that any of the top-three teams can still lift the coveted trophy come May 25.

"Atletico Madrid will fight right until the end because that's what a professional team does, and they're a very serious team. They'll fight just like we will and Barcelona will," the Italian said.

Corberan has praised the resilience of his team after a challenging first five months, but insists their work is not yet done and wants them to finish the campaign strongly.

"There are now nine stages left in this marathon of resilience. We have already completed some and we have nine more to go," the Spaniard said.

"I assure you that no one from Valencia CF will let their guard down. I assure you because the club, the fans, we have suffered a lot and we still have a lot of work ahead of us that we have to do."
