Serie A
Matchday 31
AC Milan vs Fiorentina
San Siro
Milan, Italy
Saturday ,5 April 2025
Kick-off is at 20h45
A largely disappointed Sergio Conceicao will hope that his side can return to winning ways in
Serie A when they host Fiorentina at the San Siro on Saturday, 5 April.
Just when it seemed as though Milan had gathered positive momentum, the Italian giants suffered a 2-1 loss against Napoli in their most recent league fixture.
Sitting in 9
th position on the table, Conceicao described their result against Napoli as a ‘black day’, given all that went wrong before and during the tie.
"Since I've been here I've never made excuses, even though we played every three days until two weeks ago, but today absolutely everything happened," Conceicao said.
"The doctor called me to tell me that Loftus-Cheek had to undergo surgery, Thiaw had intestinal problems and Leao felt a little pain in his thigh... I don't want to dwell on bad luck, even though it was a black day."
Bologna however, bagged impressive victories against Juventus and Atalanta in their previous two outings as they eye the scalp of yet another Italian A-lister.
With Raffaele Palladino and his charges occupying 8
th after matchday 30, the Bologna coach hopes to make the most of their recent upturn in form.
“We must thank the club and the President, who built a strong squad with great human as well as footballing qualities,” Palladino said.
“Now we must ride this wave of enthusiasm without setting any limits for ourselves.”
