Australia will face New Zealand in their third match of the 2019 Rugby Championship at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Saturday.

The Wallabies recorded their first win in this year's tournament when they defeated Argentina 16-10 in a game which was played in Brisbane on Saturday, July 27.
 
Prior to that, Australia had lost 35-17 to South Africa in their first game which was played in Johannesburg.

They are placed third on the Rugby Championship standings having accumulated four points.

With the absence of fly-half Bernard Foley, who has 12 points in this year's competition, Christian Lealiifano will be looking to play an important role in helping Australia defeat New Zealand.

Meanwhile, New Zealand were held to a 16-16 draw by South Africa in their second match which was played in Wellington on Saturday, July 27.
 
Before that, the All Blacks had started their 2019 campaign with a 20-16 win over Argentina in a game which was played in Bueno Aires.

They are placed second on the tournament standings having accumulated sie points. 

Full-back Beauden Barrett has 15 points in this year's tournament and he has the ability to inspire New Zealand to victory over Australia.

The last meeting between Australia and New Zealand was on the 27th of October 2018.

The All Blacks beat the Wallabies 37-20 in the 2018 end of year test which was played in Japan.
