Denmark, who made it through to the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup in June, will travel to Wales on Friday night knowing that a victory would send the Scandinavians top of their Group in the
UEFA Nations League ‘B’ with one game to spare at the expense of their opponents who need at least a draw if they are to have any hopes of reaching the playoffs.
Wales, under the guidance of legendary Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs, have had somewhat of a resurgence in recent months. They currently lead the group with two wins from their three matches played thus far and could secure top spot with a win, irrespective of what happens in the final group match between Denmark and the Republic of Ireland.
The Dragons have notched up three wins from seven matches since the of 2018 including a 6-0 demolition of China back in March – a game in which Gareth Bale scored a stunning hat-trick. The Real Madrid star has missed his sides last three matches due to injury, but their talismanic figure is expected to return to the starting line-up once again on Friday.
