Quotes
"We are left feeling that we didn't play well, but the team was always looking forward and the goal we conceded came from the only mistake we made, but in the end we managed to avoid losing," Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta said after his side's draw against Valencia.
"We weren't at our best, but the intention to go out and win the game was there. It was quite a tense game, both halves. We came into it following a disappointing trip to Almería and naturally we wanted to put things right in front of our fans.
"Our attitude was good and it is a shame that we didn't win. Rubén's shot that came off the inside of the post, the disallowed goal... We created a lot more than them, but in the end we scored from one of the least threatening situations!"
Head-to-Head
Girona claimed a 2-0 win over Sevilla in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on 1 September.
As a result, White and Reds are unbeaten in their last six league matches against Sevillistas having registered six consecutive wins.
