Sony Open in Hawaii, which is the second event on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, is set to take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA between 9 and 12 January.
What to know about the tournament
This event has been contested at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii, since the event's modern-day inception as the Hawaiian Open in November 1965.
In addition to the usual PGA Tour eligibility criteria, the Sony Open may invite up to three professional golfers from emerging markets and it is part of the tour's FedEx Cup Series.

Friends of Hawaii Charities, who are the tournament organisers, have announced that a field of 144 top-ranked Tour pros, will compete in the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii.
Some of the best golfers in the world, seasoned veterans, past tournament champions and talented rookies will tee off at the Waialae Country Club.
The 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii champion Grayson Murray will be remembered following his death due to illness in May 2024.
