Jorge Martin will be determined to make it back-to-back victories in Hohenstein-Ernstthal by successfully defending the German MotoGP title.

The Ducati Prima Pramac Racing rider managed to secure a podium spot in the most recent race on the 2024 calendar which was the Dutch TT on 30 June.
Martin started on the fifth grid and he passed several motorbikes to secure a second-place finish which saw him collect 20 points from the race.
MotoGP title ambitions
The man nicknamed the Martinator is still placed at the top of the MotoGP Riders' standings having accumulated 200 points from eight races.
Martinator is 10 points clear of second-placed Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo Team ahead of the German MotoGP as the duo battle for the world title.
Why Martin could win the 2024 German MotoGP
The former Mahindra rider has secured a podium in four consecutive races including a victory at the French MotoGP.
Martin, who has clinched two races in the current season, won the 2023 German MotoGP and he will be keen to display the form which saw him in last year's race.
What did he say?
“I have no excuse today. I can congratulate Pecco (Bagnaia) for what he did. It was incredible. I feel really happy because I feel, I was confident that was fast. I was braking late, opening early on and doing really good corner speed," Martin said after the 2024 Dutch TT.
"So I did my maximum. I think I feel I am a better writer than I was on Friday. So this is my target every weekend, trying to improve myself, trying to improve the bike. And I think we did our, our target. That was that. And the maximum I could take today was second. So I am happy.
"A good point for example, see, but really solid the weekend and on my page was great. I saw the riders behind were three or four-tenths slower per lap. So then I saw that it wasn’t, it was useless to keep pushing, to try to keep passing. And then I just tried to finish the race.”
