Beau Hossler will be looking to put last weekend's disappointment behind him at the inaugural
Black Desert Championship.
The American was in contention to win his first PGA Tour title after stepping up to the tee on the 72nd hole at the at the Sanderson Farms Championship tied with Kevin Yu and Keith Mitchell for the lead.
Hossler would end up making par after his wayward tee shot landed behind a tree and he went into a playoff with Yu, who held his nerve on the 18th to sink a birdie putt and walk way with $1,368,000.
It was his first top-10 placing since finishing T4 at the Myrtle Beach Classic in May, having failed to make the cut in six of his next 11 tournament appearances.

The 29-year-old, who hails from Mission Viejo in California, admitted to being upset that he came so close to a maiden career win only to stumble at the final hurdle.
"Yeah, that's what you play for, right? We play 28 weeks a year, and for me, just to get in contention however many times, this is what I train for and have been working for since I was a little kid," he said.
"Really nice to be nervous. Nice to hit good shots when you're nervous. You know, like I said, I'm a little disappointed with the outcome. I'm a little salty right now. All in, a lot of really good stuff this week."
