Real Madrid will renew their rivalry with FC Barcelona in a Spanish
La Liga match at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano on April 10.
The Whites emerged 2-0 winners over Eibar at home in their previous league encounter which was played on April 3.
The victory extended Real's unbeaten run to nine games in this competition having recorded two successive draws and seven wins.
They are also undefeated in their last five home matches in La Liga having registered four victories and one draw.
Zinedine Zidane, the Madrid manager, says they are taking it one game at a time in the race for this season's La Liga title after masterminding a win over Eibar.
“We’re just taking one game at a time, as I always say. The players are as well. We believe we played really well today," Zidane said.
"We got off to a great start and that’s what it’s about. Now we have to recover and think about the next game, but we can’t get carried away with one competition or another.
Meanwhile, Barcelona claimed an emphatic 6-1 win over Real Sociedad away in their most recent league game which was played on March 21.
The win extended Barca's unbeaten run to 18 matches in this competition having registered three draws and 15 wins.
Barcelona are also unbeaten in their last nine matches on the road in La Liga having recorded nine successive wins as the visitors.
Barca will take on Real Valladolid at home in a league game on April 5, before they lock horns with Madrid in the El Clasico.
The last league meeting between Madrid and Barcelona was on 24 October 2020.
Madrid grabbed the bragging rights after running out 3-1 winners over Barcelona in a match that took place at Camp Nou.
