Valladolid, Eibar & Elche in relegation scrap

Real Valladolid will be looking to boost their hopes of avoiding relegation from the Spanish La Liga when they take on Elche on April 21. 
 
The two teams will meet at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero and it will be the 24th meeting between the two teams across all competitions.
 
Eighteenth-placed Valladolid have the upper hand having recorded nine wins compared to 19th-placed Elche's six victories, while eight games ended in a draw. 
 
Valladolid and Elche played to a 2-2 draw in their last La Liga match on 19 January 2021 at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla.

Miguel Rubio, the Valladolid defender, says they will continue to fight as they look to retain their status in the Spanish elite league. 
 
“The team is eager to play. We very angry and we want to get even after our previous game the other day," Rubio said. 
 
"We are doing things very well. We have a great team and we can do something very difficult, which is to avoid relegation for two years in a row. 
 
"The team is very united and we have confidence. There are four finals left and we are going to take it forward."
 
Meanwhile, Eibar will be desperate for a victory when they travel to the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes where they are scheduled to face Granada on April 22.
 
This will be the 10th meeting between Eibar and Granada across all competitions and the former boast an unbeaten record.
 
Eibar, who are placed 20th on the La Liga standings, have registered seven victories, while two matches ended in a draw.

The last match between the two teams ended in a 2-0 win in favour of Eibar in a La Liga game at the Estadio Municipal de Ipurua on 3 January 2021.
 
Lastly, 17th-placed Huesca will be eager to move further away from the relegation zone when they face Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Estadio Metropolitano on April 22. 
 
The two teams will clash for the fourth time across all competitions and Atletico boast an unbeaten record against Huesca. 
 
Atletico have registered two victories, while the other game ended in a stalemate. 
 
The two teams drew 0-0 in the last meeting between the two teams which was a La Liga match at the Estadio El Alcoraz on 30 September 2020.
