UD Almería v Villarreal CF Current Form
Rojiblancos draw 2-2 with Real Sociedad away on 14 April and they are now winless in their last two games in the Spanish top-flight.
Almeria are also winless in their last 16 home matches in the league having recorded nine draws and seven defeats at the Power Horse Stadium.
Meanwhile, Villarreal drew 1-1 with Athletic Bilbao away on 14 April and they are winless in their last two matches in La Liga.
However, the Yellow Submarine are unbeaten in their last five away matches in the league having recorded two draws and three wins on the road.
Team News
Aleksandar Radovanovi and Luis Suárez are both on Almeria's injury list and the club has no suspension concerns.
Villarreal, on the other hand, could be without Francis Coquelin, Eric Bailly, Juan Foyth, Denis Suárez and Yeremy Pino who are all currently injured, but the club has no suspension issues.
Quotes
“We were very good. We allowed very few dangerous chances to Athletic, who usually generate a lot of danger," Villarreal manager Marcelino García Toral said after his side's draw against Bilbao.
"In the second half everything changed because one team was down to ten men and, in my opinion, something else has to happen for a team to be down to ten men. From then on we suffered, although it wasn't too much because I think we defended well.
“Athletic scored the goal and we were able to equalize at the end because we attacked very well in the final stretch of the game.”
Head-to-Head
Villarreal secured a 2-1 win over Almeria in their last meeting in La Liga and the game took place at the Estadio de la Cerámica on 17 September 2023.
As a result, the Yellow Submarine are undefeated in their last nine league matches against Rojiblancos having registered seven wins and two draws.
