La Liga’s three promoted teams for 2019/20 – Osasuna, Mallorca and Granada – will look for a fast start to the new season on matchday one this coming weekend.
Osasuna, who have been out of Spain’s top flight for the past two years, open their campaign with a clash away to Leganes at Estadio Municipal de Butarque on Saturday, with manager Jagoba Arrasate hoping for a positive result on the road.
Mallorca, who have enjoyed back-to-back promotions in the past two seasons, come into the top flight under coach Vicente Moreno and will be aiming to consolidate their spot in La Liga in 2019/20.
Los Bermellones will have the advantage of being at home, in Palma de Mallorca, for their opening game against Eibar, which will take place next Monday night, August 19.
Finally, Granada are back in La Liga after two years in the second tier. El Grana have, on paper at least, one of the weakest squads in the division, but manager Diego Martinez will hope his tactical nous gives them an edge.
