FC Barcelona will do battle with Real Sociedad in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Camp Nou on August 15.
Barca claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Eibar away in their final league match of the 2020/21 campaign which was played on May 22.
The win ended Barcelona's three-match winless run in this competition having recorded two successive draws and one defeat.

However, Barcelona are winless in their last three home matches in La Liga having registered two defeats and one draw.
Ronald Koeman, the Barcelona manager, insists that they remain “excited” about what is to come in the new season, despite seeing Lionel Messi depart the club.
“Despite the farewell of Messi, we are very excited about this season. We are convinced that we will give you many joys this season," Koeman said.
“The youngsters are the future of this great club. “It has been very hard to play a whole year without an audience, we are delighted to see you again.”

Meanwhile, Sociedad ended last season with a 1-0 win over Osasuna away in a game that was played on May 22.
The Blue and Whites are undefeated in their last two matches in this competition having recorded two consecutive victories.
The win over Osasuna ended Sociedad's two-match winless run on the road in the league having recorded two successive defeats.
The last league meeting between Barcelona and Sociedad was on 21 March 2021.
Barcelona claimed an emphatic 6-1 win over Sociedad in a game which was played at the Reale Arena.
