2023 Tour Championship is set to take place at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, USA between 24 and 27 August.
What to know about the tournament
From its debut in 1987 through 2006, the top 30 money winners on the PGA Tour after the penultimate event qualified for the tournament.
It was the final event of the four-tournament FedEx Cup Playoffs since 2007, with eligibility determined by FedEx Cup points accumulated throughout the season.
In 2019, the FedEx Cup was reduced to three events, and the Tour Championship is now held in late August rather than mid-September.

The tournament organisers have announced that FedExCup points leader after the first two playoffs events will begin the Tour Championship at 10-under par.
The next four players will start at 8-under through 5-under, respectively. The next five will begin at 4-under, regressing by one stroke per five players until those ranked Nos. 26-30 start at even par.

The 2023 Tour Championship field is headlined by the likes of Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover and Viktor Hovland.
McIlory is the reigning Tour Championship champion and 28 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking will be among the top contenders.

What Is At Stake
The Tour Championship has no stand-alone purse and does not carry official money.
The tournament directly determines the assignment of the FedEx Cup bonus pool money, including US$18 million to the winner.
