CA Osasuna will lock horns with Real Madrid in a Spanish LaLiga match at the Estadio El Sadar on January 9.
This will be the 37th meeting between Osasuna and Madrid across all competitions since 1993. Madrid have dominated this rivalry having won 24 matches compared to Osasuna's five, while seven games ended in a draw.

The last meeting between Osasuna and Madrid in a league match was on 9 February 2020. Madrid recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory in a game which was played at the Estadio El Sadar.
Osasuna succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Villarreal in their last home match in the league which took place on December 19. As a result, the Reds are winless in their last four home games in LaLiga having recorded one draw and three defeats.

Jagoba Arrasate, the Osasuna manager, feels that his team are on the right path.
“If we continue along this line, the results will come. We have once again embarked on the path that will lead us to permanence," Arrasate said.
"If we continue along this line we understand that there is a lot of league games left to get out of where we are."
Madrid thrashed Eibar 3-1 in their last away match in the league which was played on December 20. The win extended the Whites' unbeaten run to three matches on the road in LaLiga having registered two wins and a draw.
