Atalanta BC will lock horns with defending champions Inter Milan in an Italian
Serie A match at the Gewiss Stadium on January 16.

However, Atalanta lost to AS Roma in their last home match in Serie A and the defeat ended their four-match unbeaten run at the Gewiss Stadium.
Meanwhile, Inter secured a narrow 2-1 win over SS Lazio at home in their previous league game which was played on January 9.
The victory extended the Big Grass Snake's unbeaten run to 12 matches in this competition having two draws and 10 victories.
Inter are also unbeaten in their last five away matches in Serie A having recorded one draw and four victories as the visitors.

“We’re happy for the victory after the problems of the match against Bologna," Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni said after their win over Lazio.
"We have the Scudetto on our chest and we want to defend it at all costs. Winning is nice and in the last two years, we’ve put in a winning mentality.
"We want to stay that way. Sure, at the beginning I had some difficulty understanding Simone Inzaghi’s game, but then we got into the mechanics, we win and we have fun.”
The last meeting between Atalanta and Inter in the league was on 25 September 2021.
The encounter produced four goals as Atalanta and Inter played to a 2-2 draw in a match that was played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
