Harris English will be aiming to defend his title at the
Tournament of Champions in a field that boasts five former winners.
The American lifted the trophy in 2021 after beating Joaquin Niemann in a playoff. He would join an illustrious group of players to have won the tournament in consecutive years.
The list includes Gene Littler, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Lanny Wadkins, Stuart Appleby and Geoff Ogilvy.

English also triumphed at the Travelers Championship in June 2021, which took his tally of PGA Tour victories to four, having won multiple events in a season for the first time in his career.
The 32-year-old competed at the Hero World Challenge and the QBE Shootout in December to bring 2021 to a close.

English spoke about his preparations for the event in Maui, Hawaii at the start of 2022.
"I'll take off probably next week and then get back at it, I'll go to Palm Springs for probably five or six days before going to Maui and guaranteed good weather and good practice time to get back into it," he said.
"I'm looking forward to getting back there and ready to defend [the Tournament of Champions title]."
