The 2023
Farmers Insurance Open will take place at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California, USA between 25 and 28 January.
The event was established in 1952 as the San Diego Open and it is noted for having singer-actor Andy Williams as a celebrity host from 1968 through 1988.
Even though the San Diego Open started in 1952, the PGA Tour acknowledges two earlier tournaments of the same name; Leo Diegel won both events, in December 1927 and January 1929.

The current champion is Luke List having clinched the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open as he won the tournament for the first time after outsmarting Will Zalatoris in a playoff.
Five of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Rankings have committed to this year's tournament led by Zalatoris, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele.
Past tournament champions Jason Day and Justin Rose will also be part of the field and the players will be playing for an $8,7 million purse.
While Hideki Matsuyama, Tony Finau, Max Homa, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler have also committed to the event which will be played from Wednesday to Saturday for the second time in history.

The Century Club of San Diego, the local 501c3 nonprofit that serves as the host organization for the City's PGA Tour event, the Farmers Insurance Open, held at Torrey Pines golf.
“We always get a good field of players here,” Century Club of San Diego chief executive officer Marty Gorsich said ahead of this year's tournament.
“Torrey Pines is known as one of the toughest golf courses out there. … Those golfers look forward to coming here.”
Tiger Woods is the most decorated golfer in the history of the Farmers Insurance Open with seven titles.
