2023 British Grand Prix is scheduled to take place at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, England on July 9.
What to know about the British GP
First held in 1926, the British Grand Prix has been held annually since 1948 and has been a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship every year since 1950.
The British race is the oldest in the Formula One World Championship calendar as the 1950 race at Silverstone was round one of the first championship season in 1950.

The Austrian MotoGP which was the ninth round of the 2023 Formula One World Championship season took place on July 2 and the race was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT.
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT's Sergio Perez finished second and third respectively at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
Standings
Verstappen remains at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings followed by Perez and Alonso respectively as the battle to become Formula One world champion continues.
Looking at the World Constructors' Championship standings, Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT are placed at the top - followed by Mercedes and Aston Martin Aramco-Mercedes respectively.
Favourites
All eyes will be on Verstappen who is the favourite to win the British Grand Prix having won five races in a row in the current season.
Verstappen will face competition from the likes of Perez, Leclerc, Alonso and record eight-time British Grand Prix champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes.
