George Russell will be hoping to impress on home soil at the
British Grand Prix on Sunday, July 3 following a good weekend for Mercedes in Montreal a fortnight ago.
Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton claimed only his second podium of the season when he came third in the Canadian Grand Prix, 5.307 seconds ahead of Russell in fourth place.

The Brit continued his steady start to the campaign by finishing in the top five in all nine rounds, which included a best of P3 in the Australian Grand Prix, the Spanish Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Russell remains fourth in the drivers' standings, although he closed the gap on Ferrari's Charles Leclerc to 15 points, with the Monegasque having claimed P5 in Montreal.

However, the 24-year-old doesn't think the 2021 Constructors' Champions have made headway to catch Red Bull Racing and Ferrari as new problems keep cropping up every new race.
"The performance has not improved, but it hasn't decreased either. The stiffness and bottoming have not changed and that is surprising, I think," he said.
"With high and low settings, we see different effects. It is very difficult to solve the problems with this car, to be honest.
"I really hope that a high-speed track suits us better. But there are no guarantees. Everywhere we go, we take another step into the unknown.
"We run into different problems every race weekend. So I hope we are competitive, but I really have no idea. We will solve one [issue] and then fall into another trap again."
