Tanzania will take on Niger in a
2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at Dar es Salaam's National Stadium on June 18.
Current Form
The Taifa Stars have won two of their last three Group F matches and they are still hopeful of qualifying for the finals having recorded one win, one draw and two defeats.

Tanzania will pin their hopes of defeating Niger on their star striker and captain Mbwana Samatta who has netted 22 goals from 71 international matches.
Victorien Adebayor is Niger's most influential player having netted 19 goals from 53 international matches and he could be key to his side's win in Tanzania.
What was said?
“We had all the chances to take a victory," Tanzania head coach Adel Amrouche said after their defeat to Uganda in a 2023 AFCON qualifier on March 28.
"But we could not. It is not all lost. We have to regroup and prepare well for the next round of matches in June. I believe we will do better."

The two teams have met once across all competitions and that encounter ended in a 1-1 stalemate in June 2022.
The 2023 AFCON qualifier was played in Cotonou, Benin as Niger's home match.
