Akshay Bhatia will be eager to record his second victory of the 2024 PGA Tour season by clinching the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
What to know about Bhatia
The American starlet made his first PGA Tour start in 2019 at the age of 17 after receiving a sponsor exemption into the Valspar Championship and he turned pro later that year.
Bhatia, who played on the Junior Presidents Cup team in 2017 and Junior Ryder Cup in 2018, with both teams winning, has won four professional tournaments.

Bhatia was in action at the recent 2024 Travelers Championship where he managed to secure a top-five finish as he finished fifth.
The 22-year-old finds himself placed 29thth on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and it is also his best overall ranking.
Why Bhatia is among the favourites
Bhatia has been playing some of his best golf in the last few weeks - finishing 16th at the US Open before securing a top-five finish at the Travelers Championships.
The North Carolina-based golfer has tasted success in the current season as he won the Valero Texas Open in April and he is now eyeing his second win of the campaign.

“I felt so uncomfortable all day today,” Bhatia, who is a creative shot-shaper who works just about every ball he hits, said after winning the 2024 Valero Texas Open.
“I got off to a great start and kind of just tried to stick as much as I could to my game plan. But when you see someone charging at you and you’re playing with him, it’s really hard because you feel like you’re just slipping away.”
