Paulo Fonseca, the Roma manager, says his side needs to improve despite having claimed a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Wednesday.

“It’s hard to talk about it making things easier, but it was definitely important: we were coming from a defeat against AC Milan, and the side responded in the right way," Fonseca said.

"It was important to realise, after not winning, what we needed to do to improve. The team showed the right attitude. We won a game that we really needed to win.”

Meanwhile, sixth-placed SSC Napoli will lock horns with Bologna at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on March 7.

The two teams are scheduled to clash for the 34th time across all competitions since 1996.
