Alfa Romeo's Valtteri Bottas will be looking to win the Bahrain
Grand Prix for the first time when the 2022 Formula One World Championship season gets underway on Sunday, March 20.
The 32-year-old has recorded four podium finishes on the Bahrain International Circuit, with his best performances coming in 2018 and 2019 when he achieved second place.
Bottas finished third in the drivers' standings last year with Mercedes, who opted to promote George Russell as Lewis Hamilton's team-mate for 2022 onwards.
The Finn experienced some hiccups during pre-season testing in Barcelona and Bahrain, where a hydraulics issue cut short his time on the track.

However, Bottas remains hopeful that Alfa Romeo can get the problems sorted out before the season opener.
"It's not a great way to end the day," he said. "But the positive thing is we got some good running today, mainly on the high fuel. At the end we did a bit of shorter runs, and they felt pretty okay.
"The high-fuel runs were actually quite promising in the way the car was behaving and (the) consistent stints I could do. So a good day for learning but we had quite a few issues last test and this test so that's the number one priority now to fix.
"Of course, I would have liked to have more laps, but I am ready. It's not my first tour of the hill. So, I am sure it will be okay, but we need to make sure we learn from the mistakes and issues, that's the number one thing, as I said."
