In the second half, Doris Boaduwaa gave Ghana the lead in the 55th minute, bringing the aggregate score to 2-2. However, Zambia fought back, with Kabange Mupopo scoring in the 61st minute to regain the lead for her team.
Just three minutes later, Ghana equalized once again through Azumah Bugre, setting the stage for a tense finale.
In the dying minutes of the match, Zambia's captain, Barbra Banda, stepped up to take a crucial free kick just outside Ghana's box and converted it into the winning goal.
With the match ending 3-3 on the day but 4-3 on aggregate in favour of Zambia, the Copper Queens secured their place in the final round, where they will face Morocco in April.
The winner of the two-legged tie between Zambia and Morocco will earn a berth at the Olympics.
