2021/22 UEFA Champions League
Final
Liverpool v Real Madrid
Stade de France
Paris, France
Saturday, 28 May 2022
Kick-off is at 21h00
Real Madrid will be targeting their 14th title in 17 attempts when they lock horns with Liverpool in the
UEFA Champions League final at Stade de France on Saturday, May 28.
The Whites are by far the most successful club in the competition's history and became the first team to win the trophy five years in a row since its inception, from 1955 to 1960.
The Spanish giants last conquered Europe in 2017/18 when they beat the Reds 3-1 at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv, thanks to goals from Karim Benzema (51') and Gareth Bale (63', 83').

Carlo Ancelotti, who previously won the Champions League during his first spell with Madrid in 2013/14, is looking to win the competition for the fourth time as a manager.
Ancelotti guided Real to their 35th La Liga crown last month to become the first coach to win a title in each of Europe's top-five leagues.
The Merseysiders had a more intense run-in to the season, having played six matches in all competitions this month, including 120 minutes in the FA Cup final, as opposed to just five for Madrid.

However, Ancelotti played down suggestions it could have an effect one way or another despite his team having a couple of days extra to prepare for the final.
"Liverpool have had more difficulties than us, playing important matches. We have had more time to think about it, but in the end I don't think it will affect the teams," he said.
