The New York Knicks will look to make the most of home advantage when they welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers to the iconic Madison Square Garden for an NBA Regular Season game, scheduled for the morning of Monday 8 November 2021. Tip-off is at 01:00.
The Knicks have recorded some epic victories this season, including a narrow 104-103 triumph over the Chicago Bulls this past weekend. It was a first loss for the impressive Bulls this season, underlining New York’s potency – even though they are far from being the finished article, as admitted by their coach.

“Right now, we're still getting a feel for each other," New York coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Every game we're getting better and better. I love the fact that everyone is sacrificing for the team and putting the team first. That's how you win big in his league.”
The Cavaliers, meanwhile, have come through a tough stretch of away games against the likes of the LA Clippers, LA Lakers and Phoenix Suns – with mixed results to show for their endeavours. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff believes it was a key learning time for his team, as they found out how ruthless the top NBA sides are when an opponent takes their foot off the pedal.

“I think this was a valuable lesson for us,” Bickerstaff said. “When you're playing teams of that calibre, you can't make the mistakes that we made, because they're going to take advantage of them. We’ll be a better team going forward, knowing the level we need to maintain throughout a game.”
In head-to-head stats, the Knicks and the Cavaliers have met in 216 Regular Season games since 1970-71, with New York claiming 116 wins compared to 100 for Cleveland. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in January 2021, with the Knicks winning 102-81 at home thanks to 25 and 25 points from Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett respectively.
