2022/23 English Premier League
Matchday 7
Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur
Etihad Stadium
Manchester, England
Saturday, 10 September 2022
Kick-off is at 18h30
Manchester City and Tottenham will attempt to spoil each other's unbeaten start to the
Premier League season when they lock horns at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, September 10.
The two teams have an identical record after six games, with City just ahead of third-placed Spurs in the standings due to a superior goal difference as they trail leaders Arsenal by a single point.
Pep Guardiola's side squandered the lead on Saturday to draw 1-1 with Aston Villa at Villa Park, where Erling Haaland scored his 10th goal of the campaign.

The Citizens lost both home and away in the league to the north Londoners last term and Guardiola acknowledges they need more precision in attack if they hope to snap that two-match losing streak this weekend.
"We struggled in the first half to create chances apart from when we arrived in the final third with Kyle [Walker] and a few from Phil [Foden]. We were not precise enough and it was not good," the Spaniard said.
"But we didn't play bad and we only conceded one shot in 90 minutes which unfortunately was a goal, but we had to break the line in the moment when we were in control and we didn't concede a lot of balls in the one action we defended poorly and they made a good goal."
Tottenham counterpart Antonio Conte was thrilled at the amount of chances they created against Fulham last time out - 23 with 10 shots on target - to claim a 2-1 victory over their London rivals.
Harry Kane was on target once more last weekend as the striker registered his fifth goal of the season to go third in the all-time Premier League scoring charts with 188 goals.

Conte insisted their victory was well deserved, but admitted he would have preferred to come away with a clean sheet as well, while claiming he'd like to see his players be more ruthless in front of goal.
"Now, for sure, we can enjoy this win, because we deserve it," the Italian said. "We played really well. I liked the game, the way we played, the intensity, the intention.
"I really enjoyed the performance of my players, and I told them at the end of the game, because I think we played with personality, quality and did a lot of positive things.

But, at the end, you know very well that to win, you have to score. If I have to find a situation that we have to improve it's to be more clinical, to be more killer, and to score more goals. In this way, we'd be more relaxed, and we'd enjoy the game until the end.
"I'm also a bit disappointed we couldn't finish this game with another clean sheet, but, it's okay, to get three points and 14 points on the table is important, important because we've had a good start to the season."
