Coco Gauff is set to take on Karolina Muchova in the
2023 US Open semi-final match on 8 September.
Previous round
Gauff reached the semi-finals with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over reigning US champion Iga Swiatek's conqueror Jelena Ostapenko on 5 September.
Muchova, on the other hand, defeated Romania's Sorana Cirstea 6-0, 6-3 on 6 September to set up a semi-final clash against Gauff.
US Open record
Ranked sixth in singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), Gauff will be making her debut appearance in the semi-finals of the US Open.
The American starlet is yet to win a singles grand slam title, but the 19-year-old did reach the 2022 French Open final where she lost to Swiatek.
While Muchova is also making his debut appearance in the US Open semi-finals and the Czech star is yet to win a singles grand slam title.
Muchova, who is ranked 10th in singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), reached the 2023 French Open final where she lost to Swiatek.

"'It feels great, I'm so happy. Last year I lost in the quarterfinals and I wanted to do better this year," Gauff said after her win over Ostapenko.
"There's still a long way to go but I'm happy and ready to go back to work for the next one. Honestly I didn't feel comfortable at all the whole match, even on match point.
"It's really tough to play against her, you can't really be aggressive... she's a tough player and had a great tournament.'
Head-to-Head record
This will be the second meeting between Gauff and Muchova in a professional tournament.
Gauff defeated Muchova 6-3, 6-4 in the final of the 2023 Western & Southern Open on August 20.
