2023/24 English Premier League
Matchday 6
Liverpool v West Ham United
Anfield
Liverpool, England
Sunday, 24 September 2023
Kick-off is at 15h00
Liverpool will attempt to keep their unbeaten start to the
Premier League season intact when West Ham visit Anfield on Sunday, September 24.
The Reds made it four wins in a row when they battled back from an early goal down to beat Wolves 3-1 at Molineux on September 16, having dropped just two points thus far which came in a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on the opening weekend
Jurgen Klopp's side (3rd) have managed to keep pace with league leaders Manchester City, who are two points clear of a chasing pack of three clubs, including Tottenham (2nd) and Arsenal (4th).

The Hammers suffered their first defeat of the campaign as they squandered the lead against City to go down 3-1 at the London Stadium on September 16.
They had also kicked off proceedings with a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth before recording three successive wins over the Blues, Brighton and Luton.
The East Londoners are just three points shy of the Champions League places in sixth position, but will be hard-pressed to get anything at Anfield, where they've lost their last six league matches.
Mohamed Salah enjoys playing West Ham and will fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet again after bagging nine goals against them since his arrival at Liverpool in 2017. The Egyptian star has been directly involved in six of his team's 12 goals this term, scoring two and assisting four, two of which came against Wolves.
James Ward-Prowse has already made a telling impact for the Hammers following his move from relegated Southampton in the off-season. The midfielder opened the scoring against City to make it two goals for his new club, having also notched up three assists in four appearances.
Klopp was pleased with the reaction from his players at Wolves after coming from behind for the third time this season to pick up the win.
"Usually you learn things like this [resilience] a bit later in the season about your team. Obviously we learned pretty quick, pretty early," the German said.
"Of course, turning games around is helpful whenever it happens in the season. That we should not come that often in the situations is clear as well, but for today it is absolutely alright."
Moyes hailed the performance of his back-five after they kept City out for the entire first half before Jeremy Doku equalised at the start of the second half.
"The first half wasn't exactly what we wanted them to do, but it was the way we planned it, because we were always going to be without the ball for long periods," the Scot said.
"If we could get the first goal, we knew that would be very important, but I didn't want to see my goalie making world-class saves every five minutes or so and us having to defend things off the line as often as we did! But they did the job they were there to do and they did it really well."
