2023/24 English Premier League
Matchday 7
Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
London, England
Saturday, 30 September 2023
Kick-off is at 18h30
Ange Postecoglou will face another stern challenge in the shape of
Liverpool on Saturday, September 30, less than a week after locking horns with fierce rivals Arsenal.
Spurs came away from the Emirates with a share of the North London derby spoils, having twice came back from behind to draw 2-2 with the Gunners.
The point saw Postecoglou's side remain ahead of their neighbours in the standings on goal difference, although Brighton leapfrogged them both into third place courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Amex.

They remain two points behind the Reds, who beat West Ham 3-1 at Anfield to make it five wins on the spin to keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the table.
Jurgen Klopp's side are themselves two points adrift of the Citizens, having only managed a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on the opening weekend of the season - the league leaders boast a perfect record of six wins from six.
The Merseyside giants' decision to reject a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah seems to be paying off after he set a new record for goal involvements in 12 consecutive league games for the second time in his Anfield career. The Egyptian winger opened the scoring from the penalty spot against the Hammers to register his third goal in six starts to go along with four assists.

Son Heung-Min has taken on the added responsibility of captaining the team in the wake of Harry Kane's departure to Bayern Munich in the off-season. The South Korean star has big shoes to fill, but he's made a solid enough start leading the line, scoring five goals in six appearances, including a hat-trick against Burnley.
Postecoglou hailed the character shown by his players as they battled back from behind twice to earn a point at the Emirates, with Son pulling them level on both occasions.
"Credit to the lads, I thought we were outstanding today against a top team, at a difficult venue," he told SPURSPLAY. "We had to work our way into the game, and I thought we showed all elements of it.
"When we had to defend, I thought we defended really well, we played our football and when it didn't work, we persisted, which was great, all underpinned by a strong work ethic and outstanding character."
Klopp was full of praise for Darwin Nunez, who was on target against West Ham to take his tally for the campaign to three goals, equal with Salah.
"Massive steps in the last few weeks. He is a threat. You all saw the goal, it was probably pretty good, right?" the German declared. "That was really strong. He was always available for us, it is super-important for us that we have now - I am not sure it's the right word - a ball player.
"Chip the ball there, get it on the chest and play from there, like we scored the third at Wolves for example. I think that was a similar situation and super-important for us. The defensive work he puts in now, that's probably the main difference."
