The
2021 Doha Grand Prix will take place in Lusail which is a planned city in Qatar on April 4.
This will be the second round of this year's Championship and it will take place at the Losail International Circuit.
The Losail International Circuit's track is surrounded by artificial grass to stop the sand from encroaching on the track.
The first race of the 2021 season was the Qatar Grand Pix and it took place at the Losail International Circuit on March 28.
The Qatar Grand Prix was won by Maverick Vinales of Yamaha as the Spanish rider started the new campaign on a winning note.
Vinales was followed by the Ducati duo of Johann Zarco and Francesco Bagnaia, who finished second and third respectively.
As a result, Vinales is placed at the top of the 2021 riders' standings with 25 points and he will be keen to maintain his lead.
While Zarco and Bagnaia are placed second and third with 20 points and 16 points respectively heading into the Dohan Grand Prix.
Six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez will be missing at the Doha Grand Prix having taken the decision to miss the race due to the advice of his medical team.
The Honda rider has been out of action since last July when he broke his right arm in a heavy fall during the opening round of the 2020 season which was the Spanish Grand Prix.
"After the last check-up with the medical team, they have advised me not to participate in the two Qatar races so we will continue with the recovery to return to compete as soon as possible,” Marquez wrote on Instagram.
Yamaha are placed at the top of Manufacturers' Championship standings and they are followed by Ducati and Suzuki respectively.
