The
2019 Qatar Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, March 10 in Lusail.
This will be the first round of this year's Championship and it will take place at the Losail International Circuit.
The first night race in MotoGP history was the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar in March 2008.
The 2019 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season will be the 71st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season.
Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso is the defending champion (Qatar Grand Prix) having won last year's race.
Marc Marquez of Honda and Yamaha's Valentino Rossi finished second, and third respectively.
Marquez, who claimed his fifth
MotoGP World Championship last year, will be looking to start his title defence with a victory in Qatar.
The Spanish rider is expected to battle with Dovizioso and Rossi (Seven-time champion) for this year's title, while Honda's Jorge Lorenzo will also push for his fourth title.
The 2018 Constructor's title was clinched by Honda and they will face stiff competition from Ducati and Yamaha.
Yamaha suffered their worst winless streak in their history with no wins for 25 races last year and they will be looking to go all the way, and clinch the 2019 title.
