Enea Bastianini will be hoping to continue his great form this term by winning the 2022 Portuguese Grand Prix on April 24.

The Yamaha rider finished ninth in last year's Portuguese Grand Prix in what was his debut season with Ducati and in MotoGP.

Bastianini is oozing with confidence having won the most recent race in the current MotoGP campaign which was the United States Grand Prix on April 10.

The Italian star's teammate Jack Miller finished third as Ducati enjoyed a successful weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.

Bastianini was followed closely by Alex Rins with the Suzuki rider securing the runner-up spot following a memorable race.

Therefore, Bastianini is still sitting at the top of the Riders' standings and he is followed by Rins and Aleix Espargaro of Aprilia respectively.

Bastianini, who also won the 2022 Qatar Grand Prix last month, will consolidate his spot at the top of the standings if wins the Portuguese Grand Prix.

“It's great to win here. It's a fantastic track with great people," Bastianini said as he reflected on the United States Grand Prix.

"Miller set a great pace in the first part of the race, and I was just hanging on. Once I came under pressure from Rins I decided to push, which motivated me to find the extra pace needed to take the victory.

"Now it is time to eat some hamburgers.”

Ducati are placed at the top of the Manufacturers' Championship standings and they are followed by KTM and Suzuki respectively.
