Athletic Bilbao will go head to head with Atletico Madrid in a
Spanish La Liga match at the San Mames Barria on April 30.
The Lions won a five-goal thriller as they claimed a 3-2 victory over Cadiz CF away in their previous league game which was played on April 21.
The victory ended Bilbao's two-match winless run in this competition having recorded one draw and one defeat.

The Lions lost to Celta Vigo in their last home match in La Liga and the defeat ended their five-match unbeaten run at the San Mames Barria.
“We were very effective in the first half and we played excellently,” Bilbao manager Marcelino said after masterminding a win over Cadiz.
“It’s a victory which makes me feel good. In many matches, we’ve created a lot of chances but not managed to score.
“Today we had a nervy finish but we held on to win. I must congratulate the players, I’m proud of their work and happy with the result.”

Meanwhile, Atletico were held to a 0-0 draw by Granada CF at home in their previous league encounter which was played on April 20.
The draw extended the Mattress Makers' unbeaten run to two matches in this competition having recorded one win and one draw.
Atletico lost to Real Mallorca in their last match on the road in La Liga and the defeat ended their three-match unbeaten run as the visitors.
The last meeting between Bilbao and Atletico in a league match was on 18 September 2021.
The encounter ended in a 0-0 draw at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano which was formerly known as Estadio de la Comunidad de Madrid.
