6 - 9 April 2023
Jon Rahm will be hoping to become the fourth Spaniard to win the
Masters Tournament after Seve Ballesteros, José María Olazábal and Sergio Garcia.
What to know about Rahm
The 28-year-old is one of the best golfers in the world at the moment having won 19 professional tournaments since he started playing competitive golf in 2016.
However, Rahm, who is on a short list of men and women to be ranked world number one in the world as an amateur and as a professional, has only won one golf major which is the 2021 US Open.
News
Rahm competed in the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play where he finished 31st in March and he is now set to make his return to action at the Augusta National Golf Club.
The man nicknamed Rahmbo is currently placed third on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and he will be making his seventh Masters appearance.
Why Rahm is among the favourites
Rahmbo has four top-10 finishes in his six starts at the Augusta National and has yet to miss a cut which makes him one of the golfers to watch out for at this year's event.
Furthermore, Rahm has been in top form in 2023 having won the Sentry Tournament of Champions, The American Express and Genesis Invitational.
He will be keen to make the Masters title his fourth trophy in 2023.

Quotes
“I think it’s an exciting year. Obviously, we’re all curious about how it’s going to work out, but we’re all excited to see what this year’s going to, how it’s going to unfold and how it’s going to play out for everybody," Rahm told Golf.com in January this year.
“I think it’s going to be the same. I didn’t feel a difference in any of the majors last year. If somebody has a problem with LIV players, they’re just not going to deal with them and that’s about it.
"In my mind, like I’ve said it before, I respect their choice and the ones I was friends with before I’m still going to be friends with, right? It doesn’t change the way I’m going to operate with them," he added.
“So I think a lot of, let’s say, animosity, if there’s any, might be created more by [the media] than anything else. I don’t think there’s that much of a problem between players, at least in person, because if there is, they can avoid each other.”
