Northern Trust is set to take place at the TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, the USA between 11 and 14 August.
Established in 1967, the tournament was formerly known as The Barclays and the PGA Tour event rotates between the New York City area and Boston area.
For the 2021–22 season, the event was relocated to Tennessee with FedEx as the new title sponsor; the competition will be named the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Many of the world's top players have won The Northern Trust including Sergio García, Adam Scott, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar, Patrick Reed, Dustin Johnson and 2018 champion Bryson DeChambeau.
The current champion is Tony Finau having won the 2021 Northern Trust, beating Cameron Smith in a playoff at the Liberty National Golf Club, in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The field is limited to the top 125 players on the FedEx points list for the regular season and the event will be played out over four days.
The likes of Finau. Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Smith, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Cameron Young will headline the field.
The field will be playing for a $15 million purse and 40 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking are among the top contenders.

“With the completion of the last Major of the year, we’re up next," said Joe Tomek, Executive Director, FedEx St. Jude Championship.
"And so the next big event and next big moment for our players is the playoffs.
“You know there’s an added drama that we haven’t experienced here before. Only those that qualify through the FedexCup points system qualify and make it here," he continued.
"There’s no exemptions, there’s no special invitations, it’s the top-125, full stop."
Vijay Singh is the most decorated golfer in the history of The Northern Trust having won four titles in 1993, 1995, 2006 and 2008.
