Will Zalatotis will be determined to win the
Tour Championship for the first time having enjoyed his breakthrough season as a professional golfer.
The American star suffered a back injury during the third round of last week's 2022 BMW Championship and he withdrew from the event.
Zalatoris, who was leading the FedEx Cup rankings when he withdrew from the tournament, is set to make his return at the Tour Championship.
The San Francisco-born golfer won his first PGA Tour event, winning the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind on the third playoff hole against Sepp Straka over a week ago.
The event was the first of three events in the 2022 FedEx Cup Playoffs and with his win, Zalatoris moved to first in the FedEx Cup standings ahead of Scottie Scheffler.
The year 2022 has seen Zalatoris dazzle in major golf tournaments as he lost to Justin Thomas in a playoff in the PGA Championship at Southern Hills in May.
The 26-year-old then finished tied with Scheffler at the US Open behind Matt Fitzpatrick at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts In June.

Zalatoris tweaked his lower back on a shot on the third hole during the BMW Championship and he got treatment on the course, played the next hole and the pain did not subside.
“He felt that it was best to withdraw from the BMW Championship so he can work with his trainer the next few days to get the inflammation to calm down,” Zalatoris' manager, Allen Hobbs, said.
"Will looks forward to playing next week in Atlanta [at the Tour Championship]."
Tiger Woods is the most decorated golfer in the history of the Tour Championship having won the tournament three times.
