The Cityzens have already been crowned league champions for the third time in the past four seasons but will be eager to bounce back to winning ways after going down 3-2 at Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this week.

City opened the scoring early through Ilkay Gundogan before Phil Foden doubled their lead, but Joao Cancelo's sending off in the 10th minute of the match ultimately came back to haunt the Premier League champions.

"Eleven against 11 against Brighton is tough, 11 against 10 is difficult so we have to improve for the final," Guardiola told reporters.

"Unfortunately after 2-0, we conceded a goal so quick and after they push a lot, we were more tired and couldn't keep the ball as much as possible, we could not do it and unfortunately we lost the game.

"On Sunday, with our people, we're going to lift the Premier League trophy. And after we're going to go for the final of the Champions League [versus Chelsea]. I'm concerned because this is the final of the Champions League, because the opponent is so tough," he added.

Everton boosted their hopes of qualifying for the newly-formed Europa Conference League with a 1-0 win over Wolves last time out, but will need at least a point on the final day of the season to stand any chance of jumping above Tottenham Hotspur and into seventh.

"We are in the fight, nothing is impossible," Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti told Sky Sports. "Manchester City will be the most difficult game but it was important to stay there.

"They are the best team in Europe but we have to try. To qualify for Europe it will be a fantastic season. If we don't qualify it will be a good season."

Goals from Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne led City to a 2-0 win at Goodison Park in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
