Le Aquile romped to a 3-0 win over crosstown rivals AS Roma this past weekend to move up to seventh on the league standings to remain 12 points off top spot.
"For us this year it was very important to win as we haven't been doing our best in the league," Luis Alberto told Sky Sport Italia. "But in recent weeks we have been a different team.
"We have taken a step forward by winning against the big teams, but we must not lose concentration against the others."
Neroverdi started the campaign in hot form but have struggled for consistency of late. Sassuolo have lost two, won two and drawn one of their last five fixtures, after being held 1-1 at home to Parma on Sunday.
Both teams registered 2-1 away wins over one another last season. Sassuolo's Francesco Caputo scored in both matches.
