Tiger Woods will be eager to make a winning return at the
Hero World Challenge after overcoming his injury woes.
What to know about Woods
The American golf icon has gone on to achieve a legendary status after turning professional in 1996 as a 20-year-old and he is an inductee of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Considered one of golf's greatest players of all time, Woods is tied for first in PGA Tour wins, ranks second in men's major championships, and holds numerous golf records.
News
The last time Woods played competitive golf was at the 2023 Masters Tournament where he withdrew prior to the resumption of play on Sunday having completed 7 holes of his third round.
The five-time Masters Tournament champion is placed 1,328th on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is first place.
Why Woods is among the favourites
Woods is the most successful golfer in the history of the Hero World Challenge having won the unofficial PGA Tour event a record five times.
The last time the 47-year-old won this tournament was in 2011 and he still has what it takes to win it a record-extending sixth time this weekend.
