The New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers will renew their rivalry with an NBA Regular Season meeting at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City on the evening of Sunday 27 February 2022. Tip-off is at 20:00.
The Knicks are working hard just to finish in the top 10 of the Eastern Conference and put themselves in with a shot at the Play-In tournament. However, their recent form has been nothing to write home about and Julius Randle is frustrated that they are often giving up winning positions.

“We’re just letting a lot of them go,” Randle said after last week’s loss at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder. “Our last five (were) very winnable games.”
The 76ers, meanwhile, are very much in the fight to finish at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, with Philadelphia hoping to oust the likes of the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks.
The 76ers also boast one of the league’s best players in James Harden – acquired in a recent trade with the Brooklyn Nets – and the 32-year-old guard says he is targeting the championship with his new team.

“[Winning a title is] the goal, man. That's the goal,” said Harden. “Like Daryl [Morey] said: The opportunity to win is now. Joel [Embiid] is playing the best he's ever played. So my job is to come out there and help him and help the entire team win a championship this year and in years going forward.”
He added, “I think we [Harden and Embiid] complement each other. Obviously, the whole world knows how great Joel has been playing... not just scoring with the basketball, but rebounding. His presence alone is unbelievable.”
In head-to-head stats, the Knicks and the 76ers have met in 462 Regular Season games since 1949-50, with Philadelphia claiming 259 wins compared to 203 for New York. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in November 2021, with the Knicks winning 103-96 away thanks to 31 points from Julius Randle.
