SSC Napoli will be keen to return to winning ways when they face Hellas Verona in a Serie A game at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on 4 February.

Current Form

The Little Donkeys drew 0-0 with SS Lazio away on 27 January and they are now unbeaten in their last two matches in the Italian top-flight.

Napoli are also undefeated in their last three home matches in the league having registered one draw and two victories at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Meanwhile, Verona were held to a 1-1 draw by Frosinone Calcio at home on 28 January and they are now winless in their last two Serie A matches.

The Yellow and Blues are also winless in their last 10 away matches in the league having registered two draws and eight defeats on the road.

Team News

Napoli have no suspension concerns, but the champions will be without the injured trio of Alex Meret, Natan and Mathías Olivera while Victor Osimhen is on national team duty.

Verona, on the other hand, also do not have any suspension issues, but Alessandro Berardi is the only player on the club's injury list.

Quotes

“I'm happy because I saw a team with a capital T. A balanced team, having more ball possession than [Maurizio] Sarri is a lot," Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri said after his side's draw against Lazio.

"Above all, I was happy for guys like Demme, who played a great game. I saw a lot of good things. We could have scored a few more goals, we tried to go vertical but they are faster.

"Without [Victor] Osimhen and Kvara [Khvicha Kvaratskhelia], [Giacomo] Raspadori was alone in attack today. Lazio are very strong, let's not forget that they finished second. We have to improve, but we have found the compactness that wasn't always there when I arrived."

Head-to-Head

Napoli claimed a 3-1 win over Verona in their last meeting in Serie A which was on 21 October 2023 at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.

As a result, Little Donkeys are undefeated in their last six matches in the league against the Yellow and Blues having won three games and drawn three.
