Athletic Bilbao will lock horns with CA Osasuna in a Spanish La Liga match at the San Mamés Barria on January 9.
This will be the 39th game between the two teams in La Liga since the 1993/94 campaign which was Bilbao's 63rd consecutive season in the Spanish elite league.
Bilbao have the upper hand in this rivalry, having recorded 18 wins compared to Osasuna's 10 victories, while 10 games ended in a draw.
The last meeting between the two teams in the league was on 15 May 2022 and Bilbao claimed a 2-0 win over Osasuna at the San Mamés Barria.
Bilbao proved too strong for Real Valladolid in their last home match in this competition as they secured a 3-0 win on November 8.
As a result, the Lions are undefeated in their last two matches at home in La Liga, having registered two successive victories as the hosts.
While Osasuna claimed an impressive 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo in their last away match in La Liga on November 5.

Therefore, the Reds are unbeaten in their last two matches on the road, having recorded one victory and one draw as the visitors.
"It was a hard-fought game, each with their own style," Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde said after their draw against Real Betis on December 29.
"A draw is a fair result, but I don't think either team went for it. We both knew there was a lot at stake. I think the team did well. There was a moment were they pushed us in the second half.
"You could see when they played in our half that they were dangerous. As the minutes progressed, there were situations in which the three points could have gone our way."
