Czech star Karolina Pliskova will be looking to avoid an upset when he faces Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka in the
2021 Wimbledon semi-final match on July 8.
Pliskova eliminated Tamara Zidansek of Slovenia, Croatia star Donna Vekic, Czech Republic's Tereza Martincova, Russian player Liudmila Samsonova and Swiss star Viktorija Golubic on her way to the last semi-finals.
The 29-year-old has now reached the semi-finals of all four Grand Slam singles tournaments and she made her first and only final appearance at the 2016 U.S Open where she lost to Germany's Angelique Kerber.

Pliskova was ecstatic after she advanced to the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time following a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Golubic on Tuesday
"Super happy to be through to my first semi-final at Wimbledon. First time on this court here. I had to work really hard to get here," Pliskova said.
"Of course, I was happy to be here today and to play good tennis. I think we played at a good level, although the score looks easy, you can see in the end it was a bit tricky.
"She’s playing some great tennis, beat some good players so, in the end, it was not easy."
Meanwhile, Sabalenka reached the last four after eliminating Monica Niculescu of Romania, British player Katie Boulter, Colombian starlet Maria Camila Osorio Serrano, Russia's Elena Rybakina, and Tunisian star Ons Jabeur.

This is the 23-year-old's first-ever appearance in a Grand Slam singles semi-final and the two-time Grand Slam doubles champion will be hoping to stun Pliskova and reach her maiden singles final.
This will be the third meeting between Pliskova and Sabalenka in competitive matches.
Sabalenka defeated Pliskova at the 2018 Cinncinati Masters Round of 32 match and 2018 Eastbourne International quarter-final encounter.
The winner between Pliskova and Sabalenka will take on either Germany's Kerber or Australian star Ashleigh Barty in the Wimbledon final.
