Jon Rahm will be looking to become the second player to successfully defend the
Memorial Tournament title after Tiger Woods.
The Spanish star is currently ranked third in the Official World Golf Ranking and he is a former world number one.
Rahm, who is also a former number one golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, has won five trophies in the PGA Tour and six titles in the European Tour.

Rahm was the world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking in July 2020, having first achieved that rank after winning the Memorial Tournament.
The 26-year-old won the tournament by three shots to take over as world number one from Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland.
Rahm was the second Spaniard after Seve Ballesteros to be number one in the world and his reign as the number one golfer lasted two weeks.
The man nicknamed Rahmbo will now be keen to emulate American golf icon Woods, who won back-to-back Memorial Tournaments titles between 2000 and 2001.

Rahmbo recently revealed that he is inspired by American golf legend Phil Mickelson, who became the oldest major championship winner in history at the age of 50 after winning the 2021 PGA Championship.
“Phil’s enthusiasm is what keeps him going; at his age, has the same enthusiasm I have at 26, and he’s been doing this a very long time,” Rahm said.
“For him to keep that willingness to play and compete and practice, even when he hasn’t been working, it’s truly admirable, so I hope he gets it done. I hope he gets his win.
