Round 32
Bayer Leverkusen v FC Cologne
BayArena
Leverkusen, Germany
Wednesday, 17 June 2020
Bayer Leverkusen will battle with FC Cologne in a German
Bundesliga match at the BayArena on June 17.
The Company's Eleven were held to a 1-1 draw by Schalke 04 away in their previous league match which was played on June 14.
As a result, Leverkusen are winless in their last two matches in the league having registered one draw and one defeat.
They are also winless in their last two home games in the Bundesliga having recorded two successive defeats.
Peter Bosz, the Leverkusen manager, says he wants to win every game they play ahead of their clash with Cologne.
"I’m a coach who always wants to win, which is why we made attacking changes and continued to play for the three points even after we equalised."
"Who knows, this point might prove to be really important for us in a couple of weeks," Bosz said.
Meanwhile, Cologne are coming off a 2-1 defeat to Union Berlin at home in their previous league match which was played on June 13.
The Billy Goats are now winless in seven matches in the league having recorded three draws and four defeats.
They are also winless in their last three away matches in the Bundesliga having registered three defeats in a row.
The last time Leverkusen faced Cologne in a league match was on 14 December 2019. The Billy Goats emerged 2-0 winners over the Company's Eleven in a match which was played at the RheinEnergieStadion.
