2019-20 UEFA Champions League
18-19 August 2020
Semi-finals
Olympique Lyonnais head coach Rudi Garcia is more than wary of the dangerous threat posed by Bayern Munich ahead of their semi-final showdown at Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon on Wednesday evening.
The French club followed victory over Serie A champions Juventus with a 3-1 win over Manchester City to book their place in the semi-finals and are dark horses to win this season's crown.

Goals from Maxwel Cornet and Moussa Dembele (two) sealed. a famous win for Lyon as they now prepare for arguably their toughest test against a fully firing Bayern Munich outfit. The Bundesliga champions demolished Barcelona 8-2 to book their spot in the final four.
“We know who we are coming up against next,” said Garcia. “We eliminated a Juventus side who were one of the contenders to win the Champions League, and a Manchester City side who were contenders to win the Champions League.
“Bayern will be exactly the same, but on the basis of what the players have shown, logically we can still hope to get through another round and that is what we are going to prepare to do.”

Like fellow semi-finalists Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon are aiming to become the fifth French club to reach the final of Europe's premier club competition and first since Monaco in the 2003/04 season.
