2021/22 English Premier League
Matchday 31
Chelsea v Brentford
Stamford Bridge
London, England
Saturday, 2 April 2022
Kick-off is at 16h00
Bragging rights will be up for grabs when Chelsea host Brentford in a west London derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, April 2.
The two neighbours have already met twice this season, with the Blues victorious on both occasions, winning 1-0 in the
Premier League reverse fixture and 2-0 in the EFL Cup.
Thomas Tuchel's side are well off the pace in the title race as they trail leaders Manchester City by 11 points, although they look odds-on favourite to finish third in the table.
The European champions are one of the in-form teams at the moment, having won their last five league matches in what has been a busy, testing period. The 2-0 triumph over Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on March 19 was their sixth match in the space of just 17 days.

Tuchel believes the team is "getting stronger" in the run-in to the campaign after a mini slump in January where they went four games without a win.
"At the moment we work hard for the luck and we always accept that luck is also needed if you want to have a streak of many wins like we have now, but the mentality is good, the quality is good and after the Club World Cup I felt there's more fluidity, more rhythm in training," the German said.
"The guys who did not play increase the level to an incredible level in training in the matchday plus one, and from there I had a good feeling and I'm happy that I was right. We're getting stronger."
The Bees appear to have done enough to secure their top-flight status for a second consecutive season as they sit eight points above the relegation zone in 15th position.
However, the debutants suffered a 2-1 defeat at Leicester prior to the international break, which halted a run of two successive wins against Norwich (3-1) and Burnley (2-0).

Thomas Frank was without compatriot Christian Eriksen for the trip to the East Midlands, but the midfielder made a goalscoring return for Denmark in a 4-2 loss to the Netherlands on Saturday.
"I knew Eriksen would be out (with COVID) on Monday or Tuesday, so of course we were disappointed because he's a top player and we'd have liked him on the pitch because he'd have given us a better chance," Frank said.
